Our hackathon runs on Waterloo University's campus and is organized by a student-led team with you in mind. We aim to be the catalyst that transforms curious fans into experts. This year, students can compete in one of our three tracks: Software, Hardware, or CAD to gain technical experience and drive innovation forward!

FormulaTech Hacks is a student-led hackathon hosted at the University of Waterloo that combines innovation, technology, and motorsport culture. Participants compete in software, hardware, and CAD challenges that push technical creativity to the limit.

Any college or university student aged 18 or older is welcome to participate.

Anything that aligns with our innovation and technology theme! From software and hardware prototypes to data science and design projects, the sky’s the limit.

You don’t need to be in Engineering or Computer Science — the hackathon is open to all programs!
